Burcu has an experience in the sector nearly for 20 years. She previously worked as an associate in one of Turkey’s leading law firms, serving to a wide portfolio of local and international clients, acted as the in-house counsel of the Turkish wholly-owned subsidiaries of French giant food & beverages company and worked as the head of and single point of contact for corporate banking, treasury & global markets (fixed income), corporate institutional banking and subsidiaries department of a top tier Turkish bank, which is a joint venture of a French financial institution.

She represented and advised the local and multinational companies as well as foreign investors in respect of privatization tenders, public offerings, corporate matters and mergers & acquisitions, followed up reputational commercial, IP and IT cases, involved in various corporate restructuring projects and supported the operations of all business lines, from individual banking to private banking, SMEs, corporate banking and corporate institutional banking (CIB) as well as support functions of the bank (IT, Risk, Compliance, Operations, HR).

Burcu also worked on various issuance of debt instruments and structured products; led numerous project finance, commodity finance, export finance and structured finance projects as well as syndications and club & bilateral loans.

Burcu took an active role on pro-bono projects in the course of her professional life and ready to undertake further within the needs of local and international communities.
