Yeliz has a know-how and broad experience in general business law with a focus on contracts law, commercial law, data protection law as well as cross-border regulations.

Yeliz is a member of Istanbul Bar since 2009. She is currently working from both UK and Turkey.

Yeliz has an experience in the sector nearly for 15 years. She previously worked as an in house legal advisor for 10 years in the legal follow up department and corporate institutional banking legal department of one of the leading Turkish banks, which is a joint venture of a French financial institution. She involved in various corporate and financial market projects and supported the operations of all business lines, from individual banking to private banking, SMEs, corporate banking and corporate institutional banking (CIB) as well as support functions of the bank (IT, Risk, Compliance, Operations, HR).

Before joining our team, Yeliz was working as the head of legal of an operational car lease company with French origin. She managed and coordinated transversal legal projects; negotiated various types of commercial, IT and supplier contracts in a local and international environment; she also actively acted as the Data Protection Advisor within the company in order to ensure the compliance of all lease and operational process with the applicable personal data protection law.

Since 1 st of September 2021, Yeliz has been representing the Data Protection department of our law firm.
